So, I am a husky guy with tattoos and a shaved head and I am probably not the stereotypical fan for Doris Day but here I am. I love everything about her. I love her movies and her singing. She was also a huge advocate for animals. Her voice is so refreshing and sweet. She had an uncanny ability to make me laugh. I found this small bio on her and wanted to share more with all of you about her.

Doris Day movies are the BOMB!!! My mom always loved Doris Day and her sense of comedic timing is impeccable. I am a huge fan… and it is HILARIOUS how you describe yourself. ROFL!! I think you must just be a big softy – and it just doesn’t look like you are one! You have to be kind for a nice woman like to Mel to choose you! 😉 My Favs…. “Please Don’t Eat the Daisies” and “Send Me No Flowers”! Off to watch a D.D. movie!

You touched a bit of a nerve here Hepcat (a good one). See, my sister looked so much like Doris Day when she was a young woman. So very pretty. When we were little girls we would sing “Que Sera, Sera” together, and wonder, would we be pretty? Would we be rich? :- ) In fact, it’s funny, the last vinyl I played on my phonograph before it went ka-put was “Wonderful Day” by Doris Day. And in fact it is till sitting on the turntable. Hey, thanks for the memories Hepcat.

I am soo glad it brings up fond memories. It sounds like you guys were really close. I have 5 brothers and sisters and it is great all the childhood memories I have of growing up with them.
