Idaho Motel Sign Update

Ok, so I finished one side of the sign. Unfortunately, I still have to work on the other side. This is a lot of work but I think the result makes it worth it. I can only image how much cooler it would look if I re-installed the neon. We’ll see. Let me know what you think.

You are AMAZING!!! Yep, too bad about that second side or you’d be done! Haha! And of course you must have the neon. Boy that’d really light up the diner….and EVERYTHING! Maybe just a low-glow neon? Can you get varying degrees of brightness? Looks like it was WORK day for both of us! Thanks again for taking time out to “guide” me through the project. One simply MUST learn from a “master”! How lucky am I! GREAT JOB Hepcat!

  Thanks Vic! I’ll have to research the neon brightness issue. Yes, it WAS work day for both of us today. Thank goodness I wrapped up before it got REALLY hot. You’re welcome for the advice. I am sure your tables will turn out fabulous. Don’t forget to send me pictures when you are finished.

    It also means we didn’t SPEND MONEY today! Haha! I had to go to the hardware store early this morning and I swear there were garage sale/estate sale signs on every power pole. Killed me, but I just held my breath, put my blinders on & kept on driving – which is a nearly impossible feat for me! Later gater.

    As if I don’t have enough things on my plate to restore, we have decided to go to “Second Sunday” tomorrow. Pray for me that I don’t find anything big. My garage is at capacity.

So – I love the sign! Without the lights makes more sense for a room divider. Then you can add neon later for a little party flair! You might get more satisfaction finishing it sooner rather than later. But thats just me….instant gratification girl! LOL! Cheers!

Second Sunday? Is that the big one under the freeway on “X” Street? I’ve never been to that one. Bad, BAD kids! Be sure to show us what treasures you found cause I KNOW you won’t be coming home empty handed! Lucky you! (Back to sanding – blek!)
