Do you need a new lamp shade for your retro lamp?

Mel and I were soo excited to get the Moss floor lamps we recently purchased. The problem that has plagued us before when we buy lamps without shades is finding ones that will work with the light. Mel and I were exposed to Meteor Lights when we purchased a couch from a nice couple in the bay awhile back. They said that this company was producing mid-century shades that looked great and were made in the same way they were originally produced. Meteor Lights designs and fabricates custom fiberglass drum lampshades, modern pendant light fixtures, and mod acrylic lamp bases in retro, atomic, and mid-century modern styles, bringing classic ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s Americana to your home or business. Our colorful drum and tiered fiberglass lampshades also look great with streamline modern, tiki, vintage western, googie, biomorphic, Danish Modern, and mid century-influenced contemporary lighting styles. These shades are completely customizable.

Love them all. This is a small sampling of the shades you can create.

Awesome!

Look at all the options!

You can even pick the lanyard color.

Once our shades arrive we will post a followup. Mel and I are so anxious to see the great work these folks do. If you need a shade then this is your place and the prices are really reasonable. Do yourself a favor and check out Meteor Lights.

  1. I have a Moss Leaning Lena w/ the lighted stem. Never did like the original Pom Pom shade.
Could you make a shade what I would call a three or four tier “Rice Paddy Hat”.
Bottom tier diameter 26″ or 28″.
Next tier diameter 22″ or 23″.
Top tier diameter 18″ or 19″.

    Any thoughts/Ideas?
