Everything Must Go!!!

Our sitting area in our bedroom. All that you see will be sold.

After a long time of considering & talking Mel & I plan to sell off all our MCM (Mid Century Modern)/Danish belongings in our bedroom. We plan to make it all 40’s & atomic 50’s style furnishings. The reason why is because we have run out of room in the living room so we need room to expand. The 40’s & atomic 50’s style is really where our hearts are anyway. I will be looking for Heywood Wakefield pieces to add to the room and more Carlo of Hollywood. I plan to blog about everything before I sell it so I can document its existence. The art below was done by Letterman. I have never been able to find out much info on him except for the fact they were sold by either Sears or JC Penny’s. They always look good with MCM or Danish decor. Here are all the Letterman’s we will be selling:

Large Letterman ribbon print & colored glass will be sold

3 piece Letterman print selling

Faded square Letterman print will be sold.

3 piece ribbon Letterman print for sale as well. I love the colors and the flow of the piece.

Here is another cool Letterman we’re selling. I think the colors and design is really cool (excuse the light reflection)

Sailboat in S.F. Letterman and yes it must go! The water looks so real with the moon light bouncing off of it.

Another Letterman sailboat print we’re selling. I really like the color of the sails.

This great Letterman has some really nice colors and yep, it will be sold as well.

I have never seen this Letterman before and that is what pulled me to it. I think its trees on a very steep hill, very cool.

I know selling off all our MCM stuff will make our bedroom look strange for a while but that is the cost of a transition from one style to another. I am eager to get started because I love starting with a blank slate. Mel and I might get a booth at an antique store or try Etsy or Ebay, we have soo much to sell.

  5. My husband and I just obtained a Letterman painting like the one you have with the blue trees. We were wondering if you had found out any other information since posting? We cannot find anything about it, and would like some background on it. Thanks so much!
