Today our new couch and armchair arrived via FedEx Freight. Since we are changing out our room from MCM we needed couches that would look cool with our Heywood Wakefield pieces. These couches are not original 50’s couches. They are reproductions that are built like tanks. You might remember me blogging about our other set a while back. We loved our other set soo much that we ordered another custom set. I am leery about original retro couches because I am a pretty big guy and do not want to be afraid of sitting on my cool couch. We were lucky that they had just enough material left to complete this set. We did change it up somewhat by using a soft black velvet on some parts. We also added another armrest on each piece and buttons to the back rests. Our other set only had one armrest each, no buttons, and only had the starburst fabric. Anyways here is our new set…
This set is sooooo awesome! If only I had some money AND didn’t live in the UK!!

Ok, so I already commented on FB & said there are no words but managed to find a few anyway. And since you KNOW I’m really never at a loss for words I will say again, over-the-top fabulous! Even though they are the same as the living room, the new touches are fannnntastic! And I must also say I think it is so great they are called “Lucy”! Since you love her so much I think it only appropriate that there be something of her in your home. In fact I think a little framed black & white picture in a 1950’s type frame of her on one of your tables would be an adorable touch. Anyway Hepcat – another SCORE! Right outta the ballpark! You two must be outta this world crazy happy with this – I can see you’ll be deserting the diner once this room is done ;- )

That’s a great idea about Lucy! Yeah, we got a kick out of the names of the pieces too. I think we’ll still spend our Sunday mornings in the diner..but we’ll spend a lot more time in the cove area of the bedroom once we’re done redecorating :).

Thanks Sherry! Unfortunately, you can’t buy them directly from the manufacturer (Outer Limits). You have to go through an authorized re-seller or sales rep. Luckily, I’m a contact point for them and can get others in touch with the right person at Outer Limits to custom build the pieces for you.

I am wondering if you can point me towards a pricing guide for Outer Limits furniture so I can get some ballpark figures?
