Mel and I were antiquing in the bay this past weekend when we came across this NOS (New Old Stock) Montgomery Wards electric wall fireplace/heater. This thing was never used or assembled. It’s in fantastic condition and in a chartreuse color that looks great in our guest bedroom.
We were amazed with the condition of this unit. Usually they get pretty filthy and beat up after years and years of use.
This hanging fireplace had its original parts packet.
This packet included new screens, screen pulls, and mounting hardware.
This just goes to show you that our home is always changing. We thought we completed our guest bedroom, but when we found this we couldn’t pass it up!
This will add both functionality and ambiance to the room.
wow…I love the hanging fireplace…so retro…your room looks great…you’ve got talent!

We have the same fireplace. I’ve been searching for a manual. Can you see if the on/off switch has another purpose besides turning on the logs? I seem to think it acts as the blower as well. Thank you for any help you can provide.

Yes, it’s a blower too.

OMG…. I have this and I have no idea how to mount it to the wall, can you please tell me how to do it? I do not have any of the mounting equipment. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

Lowe’s has brackets that can mount on the wall that has a lip that is away from the wall that you can hang the back lip of the fireplace on. You may have to cut it to fit. They sell it in the picture hanging hardware area. It comes with two brackets but you should only need to use one I think.
